SOMETHING HAPPENED

WE HAVE A BIT OF A PROBLEM
It seems that I won't be able to exhibit three of my most important pieces at the Progress Energy's Art Gallery April Exhibition. "Infinity Sleeps", "Mushroom Head" and "Birdhead" will be missing from the collection. (No I didn't sell them. Though a nice thought.) My friend and framer, Carlos, had to have surgery and could not finish the frames in time for the exhibition. Wish him a speedy recovery. Instead, I will substitute two in their place, "Fish Bait" and although "A Day at the Beach" is not framed, it is gallery ready. (Click here to see the "Dreams on the Way to Tomorrow Collection")

OK, BAD NEWS OUT OF THE WAY
I was worried that my brochure and new business cards wouldn't arrive in time, but they did! And boy, they are great. A lot of artists and friends have asked me where I had them done: Overnight Prints. They have good prices and easy instructions to upload your files (if you do your own). I must mention that I did have a bit of a wait uploading my files (22 megs. ea.) but I did the uploading on a Saturday, maybe a high traffic day? I'm still waiting for my posters but I'm assured that they are in the mail and will arrive in time for the jacabo exhibition. Twelve more days before the opening, can't wait!!

OH, ONE MORE THING
I sent out an e-mail to a few of my friends and associates with the exhibition dates of April 6 & April 7th, however, neglected to mention that the exhibit will be open at Progress Energy Art Gallery for the ENTIRE MONTH of April. I will only be there April 6th (6 PM) and April 7th (Noon - 3). Anyway, if you follow my blog, you won't miss it -- right?

GREAT NEWS NOT RELATED TO ART
I'm going to be a grandfather again. My eldest boy, Jimbo and his wife Sarah, are expecting a girl in July. I'm planning on being there if I can. Also, can't leave out that my grandson, "Sumo" had his first birthday recently. Happy Birthday, Sumo!
